Yummy, Healthy Apple Crumble Recipe!
This Saturday 18th July the BUF Girls are hosting a luxe Christmas in July party at an amazing, secret location. To set the mood, today our resident BUF Chef Bree Bakaric shares her very special, single serve apple crumble recipe. Because who doesn’t want a little taste of the silly season in the middle of a big year!
Single Serve Apple Crumble
Filling:
- 1/2 Granny Smith apple
- 1 tbsp sultanas
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch nutmeg
- Pinch cloves
- 1 tsp melted coconut oil
- 1 tsp honey/rice malt syrup
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
- Small squeeze fresh orange juice
Crumble:
- 8 macadamias
- 8 pecans
- 8 cashews
- 1 tbsp almond meal
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1-2 tbsp honey/rice malt syrup
What to do:
- Roughly chop apple into chunks, leaving skin on. Mix well with spices, sweetener of choice, melted coconut oil, orange zest & juice.
- Place Apple mixture in small tin/ramekin.
- Roughly chop nuts (better if left chunky). Mix nuts with almond meal, shredded coconut, sweetener of choice & coconut oil.
- Scatter crumble over apples.
- Cover tin/ramekin with foil.
- Place in 180 degree oven for approximately 10-15 mins.
- Uncover crumble (optional sprinkling of coconut sugar) & leave for approximately another 5 minutes until crumble is golden.
- Remove from oven & enjoy! Tastes great with a scoop of coyo!
