All the fun of dance, none of the pressure
ON HOLD DUE TO COVID-19
coming soon, kids classes for girls and boys
Help your kids learn to love movement.
We LOVE dance school, but it can be nice for kids to get away from the pressure of learning a routine and performing so they can let go and just have some fun. And with all the uniforms, costumes and concerts it can be a bit of a drag for us parents too (although we may just have a cheeky little performance in here somewhere)! For other kids, the word “exercise” is a big turn off.
Music and movement have a profound impact on mood and energy. As fellow mums, we believe it’s a gift every kid should receive. A gift that will set them up for life with body awareness, body confidence and a positive association with exercise. And did you know… moving to music has been scientifically proven to improve neural pathways, memory, focus and brain function!
What to expect
Learn to move
Classes are set to music and designed to help kids learn the basics of dance. They’ll be learning to follow the beat and developing important muscle memory and motor skills they’ll retain for life.
Have fun getting fit
Dancing is a great workout. Don’t worry, it’s age appropriate and designed to be so much fun your kids won’t even notice their getting fitter and stronger. It’s kinda like slipping vegetables into their dessert…
Great role models
We only hire trainers who are good people, with strong character, positive energy and good values. Trainers with great knowledge of the human body and an innate ability to help kids shine.

FAQs
What ages do you cater for?
We’re starting with younger kids (13 and under) but plan to have classes for kids up to age 15. Both girls and boys are welcome for our kids classes. Girls over 16 years old can join our adult classes with parental permission.
What are your qualifications?
All our trainers are fitness and dance qualified, with first aid certification, including first aid for kids. We’ve also completed our working with children checks and a lot of us are parents too.
What days and times?
We’re starting with 2 to 4 year olds on Tuesdays at 10am for 30 min. We also have 5 to 8 year olds on Fridays at 3:30pm for 30 min and 9 to 13 year olds on Fridays at 4:15pm for 45 min. See the timetable below for details.
What if my child can’t dance?
Absolutely zero experience is necessary! We’ll be covering the basics and doing simple movements that are easy to learn. The whole point is having fun, not being perfect.
Is my child too advanced for this?
If you’re looking for an advanced dance class, a dance school would be a better fit. If you’re looking for fun, dance based exercise, this is perfect.
Do we need to buy any equipment?
No. Provided your child has comfortable clothes suitable for a bit of brisk movement and working up a sweat, a decent pair of sneakers, a water bottle and a sweat towel (any towel will do), you won’t need to buy anything.
