Make Your Own: Pimped Up Nut Butter
We had you at "nut butter", right? Check out this recipe to make your own super easy, pimped up nut butter. Whether you're a chocolate lover, totally dig a cinnamon and maple combo, or prefer your nuts straight up with a dash of salt, this recipe will tickle your fancy... and it tastes SO much better than store-bought, promise! ;)
What You’ll Need
400g (or more!) dry roasted or activated nuts of your choice (e.g. almonds, cashews)
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon cinnamon cacao, cinnamon, or maple syrup, or all three! (all optional)
2 tablespoons chia seeds (also optional)
1 teaspoon sea salt
What You’ll Do
Place the nuts in a blender or food processor and whiz on high until they attain the consistency of butter (or a little less smooth if you like serious chunks!)
Add the coconut oil, then add any flavour combos you like of the chia seeds, cacao, cinnamon, maple, or sea salt.
Blend until combined.
Our fave combos
We love cinnamon and maple, or chia and cacao combos, although sometimes we just add THE LOT! It’s all so good together ;) Feel free to get creative too! Coconut flakes, hemp seeds, or honey can also be YUM!
