4 Healthy Salad Dressings You Can Make At Home

Spring means healthy salads, right? But shop-bought dressings can be loaded with sugar, salt and extra calories, so for all the salad-fanatics out there, today share our favourite healthy, homemade dressings. Hint: in these mini recipes, “T” means tablespoon and ‘t’ means teaspoon!

Leash’s fave

“I’m no chef, so I keep it suuuppeerr simple”

  • 1 T Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 2 T Hummus
  • Mix together in a bowl

 

Libby’s fave

“This one has it all – healthy fats, digestion loving lime juice and apple cider vinegar, and my favourite condiment of all time, mustard!”

  • 1 T Olive oil
  • 2 T Lime juice
  • 2 t Apple cider or balsamic vinegar
  • 1 t Dijon mustard (or 1 T if you’re a big fan like me!)
  • 1 t Rice malt syrup or honey
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • Mix together in a bowl, or shake up in a jar.

“When you feel like something a little bit creamy, this is my take on a healthy version of Caesar salad dressing – it’s so delicious and totally virtuous!”

  • ½ Soft avocado
  • 1 T Coconut yoghurt
  • 1 T Olive oil
  • 1 T Apple cider or balsamic vinegar
  • 8 Sprigs coriander
  • Salt & pepperBlitz together in a food processor or blender.

 

Sian’s fave

“I love this combo drizzled over steamed or baked veggies or a leafy salad!”

  • 1 T tahini
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Stir and drizzle!
